This is an amazing Item!
It was made by James W. Tufts a leading silversmith of his time.

He was born February 11, 1835 in Charlesrown, Maine and Died February 3, 1902 in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
He was very prolific in making silver pieces as well as making silver parts to add to ceramic and glass items.
My research led me to a museum site in North Carolina and based on the mark on the bottom this item dates to 1875. His work is highly praised and collected.
It measures 11"high from base to top of handle and is 10" from side to side of handle. There is normal wear on the underside of the crystal bowls base but otherwise in pristine shape.
